The EEC webinar is now available for replay

Sustainability under RED II is based on two pillars: sustainability criteria for raw materials and GHG (greenhouse gas) savings. For the GHG part, the Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) proposes a calculation method for assessing the emissions of these gases. This method, its factors and our EEC calculator are used to help you quantify greenhouse gas emissions. To help you understand and use this factor, we organised two webinar sessions to enhance your knowledge of the subject and answer any questions you may have. Updated NUTS2 Values for Energy Crops from the 2024 Harvest

In 2023, the European Commission indicated that the previous NUTS2 values, developed and recognized under the Renewable Energy Directive (RED I), were no longer valid, though they allowed their use for crops from the 2023 harvest. The Commission has therefore requested Member States to submit new NUTS2 values for validation. These values will apply to crops from the 2024 harvest onwards. Canada, Australia, and Argentina have already received validation for their new NUTS2 values; these values can be used. Other Member States, including France and Germany, have also submitted their updated values to the European Commission. However, the validation process led by the European Commission will take some time, according to the authorities. This process will follow several stages: This

Our webinar on our Esca methodology is now available for replay

Sustainability according to RED II is based on two pillars: sustainability criteria for raw materials and criteria for GHG (greenhouse gas) savings. For GHGs, the RED proposes a calculation method to assess the savings in emissions of these gases. This formula incorporates the “ESCA” factor. This is used to quantify the greenhouse gas savings resulting from the accumulation of carbon in the soil through the implementation of improved agricultural practices. In a context where sustainability and the reduction of GHG emissions are priorities, implementing the Esca methodology can help you add value to your products with reduced greenhouse gas emissions. To help you make the most of this calculation method, we offered two webinar sessions to enhance your knowledge of
