The 2BS sustainability certification system is available all around the world and covers all sustainable raw materials, such as agricultural and forest biomass, wastes and residues, renewable materials and energies.

Certification of sustainable agricultural biomass, biofuels and bio-liquids is covered in the 2BSvs system.

The 2BSvs certification system has been developed to cover the entire process from the production of biomass to the collection of inputs and right up to the processing and production of biofuels, bioliquids and biomass fuels.

FOOD & FEED

The certification of biomass and respect for sustainability criteria which goes with it are not limited to the biofuel industry. They are important elements of both the human and animal food industries, and also of biomass used as material.

The 2BS Association has developed a certification for sustainable processed agricultural raw materials to be used for human and animal food and for biomass which is used in industrial processes.

The 2BSXtra certification is based on the requirements of the 2BSvs certification scheme. This allows first collecting entities and processing units to demonstrate sustainability and traceability of this supply chain and it supports operators as they move to a circular economy with low carbon emissions.

With its ‘one stop for all’ solution, the 2BS Association can manage a wide range of different producers of sustainable biomass and can quickly respond to any requests for certification of sustainable agricultural raw material.

CHEMICALS

The 2BSXtra sustainability system has been developed for renewable fuels, recycled chemical products and bio-sourced plastics to allow producers to demonstrate the sustainability of these types of products.

2BSXtra Chemicals aims to support operators as they move towards a circular economy with low carbon emissions.
